Exeter Gently went into their game with third placed Ruud van Ni-Ste-Lloyd, desperately looking for their first points of the season. With Ruud being a couple of games behind on the teams in front of them, claiming 3 points was all important to keep them in a strong position.

It didn’t take Ruud van Ni-Ste-Lloyd long to get off the mark – 2 minutes in fact. From there on for the rest of the first half, the Exeter goal mouth took a hammering. Adam Porter (1); Jamie Longworth (1); Ian Davis (4) and Michael Jennison (2) were all goal scorers in the first half for Ruud van Ni-Ste-Lloyd.

Unfortunately, the second half didnt bring about a change of luck for Exeter. Whilst they did manage to get a couple of second half goals courtesy of Ryan Clayton and Joe Neil, Ruud van Ni-Ste-Lloyd added a further nine goals to their tally. Ian Davies was the man of the match with an impressive tally of 7 goals for the match.
