Weekly Review 24/10/2025

Week two of the weekly review, and we’re already slightly falling behind the schedule we’ve set ourselves…

SUNDAY

As we reach the final knockings of the current Sunday season (new season starting 9th November, spaces available), 6 Offenders solidified their position as top dogs in the top division in the only Premiership game played this week. Ola Odipe scored three as they beat former champions Not Sure Yet 7-3 to move 9 points clear at the top.

With the Championship top two decided, an 8-6 win for Inter MiVan over confirmed runners up Royal Maildrid saw them leapfrog Manfredini FC into third spot, Dylan Norburn with 4 of their goals. Bandit Ballers recent improvements continue, and another two from Kaniel Warke helped them to a 7-2 victory over Ready Toulouse.

The only thing that was officially confirmed in League One this week was that Dads Army will not be claiming the title this season. They were beaten 6-4 by Delph & Safety, meaning the best they can hope for is third place. Jake Dean scored all 4 of their goals this week, but Delph spread the goals about, with only Joe Connell claiming more than a solitary goal. Delph remain second, behind Requis FC, but with games in hand, and Requis can only keep winning and see where it gets them. They did that again this week, as Oli Goode’s brace helped them to a 3-1 win over SHBNextGen. Athletico Pathetico sit in 4th but can’t be ruled out of the promotion race. They hammered Sporting Whizbon 8-0, Charles Burke helping himself to 6 of them.

They say consistency is always key, and the two games in League Two both finishing in 4-4 draws is certainly consistent. Neither Doner Kebab FC or Day Release FC could put pressure on leaders Not Quite Carling, as they played out a 4-4 draw to sit second and third respectfully. Alex Dawson’s hat trick for Doner was matched by Marcus Bell from Day Release. Cale Green Canaries haven’t managed a win so far this season, but they picked up a second successive draw as a last gasp goal gave them a point against Inter Your Sister. Joe Glover grabbed three of their goals, as did Craig Moss for Inter.

MONDAY

With Dustbusters not in action this week, Anne Frankfurt and The Albion took their opportunity to cut the gap at the top of the table to 6 points. Frankfurt did their goal difference the world of good by hammering Over The Hill 18-7, with Dan Cox going top of the scorers chart with 5 on the night. It wasn’t enough to claim the MOTM award though, as Conor Hynes also helped himself to 5, and Fin Hynes claimed 4. The Albion put in an impressive performance to beat Real Madri 8-2 to stay third, level on points with Frankfurt. Harry Davies, John Gould and Nick Knight grabbed a brace apiece as Albion head into next weeks game against the league leaders on a high. Maradona Kebab made it three wins on the bounce as hat tricks for Brad Waugh and Louie Cassidy helped them to a 13-8 win over Out On Bale, who continue to struggle, while Nuff Said returned to the Monday league with an 8-4 win over Albert Reet, who continue to attempt a piece a team together on a weekly basis around various injuries.

TUESDAY

The new Reddish Tuesday format continues to show promising signs as new teams continue to sign up. Two more new team played this week, but neither were able to register their first point. Regen FC were hammered 13-1 by early leaders OFT FC, and despite Harry Hardie claiming 8 of their goals, he didn’t pick up the MOTM award! Squadron Hotspur showed plenty of promise in the recent Tuesday Shoot Out, but that hasn’t transferred to the start of the league season. They registered their first point this week in a 4-4 draw with Two4Sixty FC, who in turn drop their first points. Sam Neves’ two goals for Squadron were matched by Ant Dorney from Two4. OA FC sit third as they made it back to back wins, beating Tuesday debutants Esskay United 7-2 thanks to three goals from Sean Hurley, while Flairy Liquid got their season started with a 12-3 win over Ctrl+Alt+Defeat, Fin Perry and Kieran Mathieson claiming hat tricks.

Not the greatest night in the history of the Woodley Tuesday league, but as we approach the end of the current season, we’re pretty close to having most of the major issues decided. Unathletico Madrid won the only top division game played this week. They beat Pow Pow Kenny 3-0, with Daniel Mallinson’s two goals making him the divisions top scorer for the season.

The Championship title goes to Zooted & Booted as they won their rearranged game against second placed James Hyde FC 6-2, Dom Breed claiming half of their haul. Millers FC joined us this week, but two goals from Mugo Ndene from Netsix & Chill in a 3-0 victory ensured they will have to wait another week to try and get off the mark.

THURSDAY

Dustbusters weren’t hanging around last night, as they blitzed Man Sniffy in the first 12 minutes, going 8-0 up in that time. Sniffy managed to pull themselves together, and will probably be happy that the game ended up 11-1, with Owen Duffy top scoring with three. Rife Raiders went second, but remain 8 points behind the leaders after a 7-3 win over Denton Boys, James Walton with 4.

Just one game played in the ‘Woodley’ Premiership last night, and even that one only just happened! Every single player, including keeper, scored for Sporting Keumgang as they beat Ateltico 6-3 to close the gap at the top of the table.

The top two in the Woodley Championship pulled clear of the pack this week, with both picking up comfortable wins. Old Boys were 13-3 winners over Village Idiots, Dom Breed with 5, while BBB had to work harder for an 8-6 win over Salmon FC, with Luke Wilson and Caleb Cooper splitting the goals between them.
