Recap
The El Caliente B team has had a bit of a mix up of players this season following promotion last time around, and fielded three new players this week against an Exeter Gently team who seemed to be pretty much back to full strength this week.
The first half was tight, with Danny McDonald’s 7th minute goal for Exeter all that either team had to show for the opening quarter of the game. Tom Harrison doubled the lead 6 minutes from the break, but Fidelis Eberegbe pulled on back for the ‘B’s a minutes before half time.
A second goal each for McDonald and Harrison eased Exeter into a 4-1 lead in the first 5 minutes, and Maison Owen looked to have killed the game off as a contest with 19 minutes still to play. Nathaniel Odysseus-Kingsley pulled one back for Caliente, but within a minute Owen had scored again for Exeter, and Harrision scored again with 11 minutes left. The two teams shared 6 goals in the final 10 minutes, Owen, Mike Belshaw and Harrison striking again for Exeter, with O-K grabbing three more for himself. Exeter are back with a victory, now they just need to be able to field a side every week……
