Recap
Both of these teams were playing their second game of the night as Pathetico tried to get ahead with some lads being away for the next couple of weeks. With the Sunday League Two promotion race really wide open, a win for either of these teams would see them weel placed to be the favourite to take the second promotion slot as McMuffin Men look likely to take the title.
After a quiet opening 10 minutes, Sam Henderson gave Pathetico a lead that lasted about 60 seconds before Kyle Norris drew the Dons level. Another Norris goal and Jack Shariff’s third of the night (one in each net in his previous game) gave SK a 3-1 lead by the 15 minute mark, but an own goal, and goals from John Brookes and James Norton turned it around in Pathetico’s favour approaching the break. Norris completed a first half hat trick on the stroke of half time to end an entertaining half with both teams going in level at 4-4 at half time.
Matthew Richardson put the Dons back in front in the opening minute of the second half, but Pathetico ‘keeper Danny Norton made it 5-5 with a penalty with 20 minutes to go. Michael Davenport and Shariff scored to give the Dons a two goal lead, and it was just about game over when Richardson and Norris added two in a minute half way through the period. Adam Norton pulled one back for Pathetico three minutes from time, but SK killed the game off when Richardson grabbed his third a minute later.
