Recap
Under Rated were only kept in League One for this season as a result of one particularly heavy defeat during their mini league campaign prior to joining the full league, but they seem to be up for making it a one season only deal as they went into this week’s game with a 100% record for the season. Inter Your Sister needed a decent second half to the last campaign to stay at this level, but had picked up their two points this season with draws against teams who look likely to be competing with Under Rated for promotion.
Stuart Carter gave Under Rated the lead on 8 minutes, but that lead lasted just 60 seconds as Gaz Sumner quickly drew Inter level. Carter’s second a minute later put Under Rated back in front, and James McIver made it 3-1 11 minutes from half time. Steve Johnson dragged inter back into it again with a goal 6 minutes before the break, but Steven Batho grabbed two in a minute before the break to give Under Rated a 5-2 half time lead.
It was a lead they looked unlikely to surrender in the second period as McIver’s second, followed by further goals from Jimmy Nation and Batho increased that lead to 8-2. Batho grabbed his 4th of the game to draw a line under this one, but Dave Smythe grabbed the final goal of the game for Inter, who fall to their second defeat of the season as Under Rated go a whopping 8 points clear at the top of the table (though other teams do have games in hand).
