Polish Army doubled up their dose of weekly Ballers action by adding the Sunday league to their current Wednesday subscription, and took on a Wellspring team on their opening night who they will have played previously on that midweek night.

It was the Wellspring boys who took a firm grip on this one in the early stages, as Mike Devitt grabbed a couple of goals in the opening 11 minutes to give them a two goal lead. That was three 7 minutes from the break as Lewis Arden got on the score sheet, and it seemed like it might have been game over before the interval.

It looked likely for a lot of the second half that the game might just drift out to a comfortable Wellspring win, but goals from Kamil 4 minutes from time and Marcin two minutes later meant we were set for a grandstand finish. There was one more goal before the end of the game, but it confirmed the win for Wellspring as Mike Cocks scored in the final minute.
