League: Tuesday Championship RNE

Inter Yermam vs Inter Row Z

One of only two games played this Tuesday  – as eveyone clearly fancies trick or treating more than playing football this week.

Inter Yermam got their first run out in the Tuesday league against mid-table Inter Row Z. Ray Donnelly scored the only goal of a very queit first half to give Inter Row Z a 1-0 lead at half time.

Thankfully the goals started to flow in the second haf. Ryan McAndrew drew scored level in the first minute of the half, but it was Inter Row Z who kicked on with the next 4 goals of the game. At 5-1, it you could have frorgiven Inter Yerman for giving up, but a 20th minute goal from James Donovan doubled their tally for the game. However, it was Inter Row Z who scored the final few goals in this game. Ray Donnelly scored his 3rd and 4th of the match; with Callum adding his 3rd of the match to ensure Inter Row Z took all 3 points.

Only Kruls & Horses vs LQ FC

Only Kruls and Horses went into the game, against mid table LQ FC, top of the league with a 100% record so far this season. Against a defence that had only conceeded 11 goals in the previous 5 games, LQ certainly had their work cut out for them.

Only Kruls started as you would expect, two goals in the opening 4 minutes from James Thornley gave them an early lead. Tim Price pulled one back for LQ, before Brad Gilman restored Only Kruls two goal lead. Jacob Murphy and Jack Mullern exchanged goals for each side as we went into the break with a 1 goal game.

Only Kruls came out fighting in the second half. A couple of early goals extended Only Kruls lead , until Sam Hollan pulled one back for LQ. Nat started and finished his hattrick for Only Kruls within 13 minutes to give them a 10-3 win and keep thieer 100% record intact.

Wellspring FC vs Inter Row Z

The choice of game of the day was a tricky one this week, but given that this was the only game played this week it was the obvious choice. Both of these teams went into this week’s game with the possibility of promotion still very much alive, with Inter Row Z’s recent good run ended in a narrow defeat to leaders Only Kruls and Horses last week, while Wellspring’s only defeat of the season had come at the hands of the same opposition.

Jay Berrisford got Wellspring off to the ideal start with two goals in the opening 10 minutes, before Callum Donnelly pulled one back for Inter on 11 minutes. Despite creating plenty of chances of their own, Inter found themselves 6-1 down at the break as Berrisford added another two, along with a double from Lewis Arden.

Arden scored again a couple of minutes after the break, but having been a little off the pace in the first half, Inter stepped it up and got a couple back through Ray Donnelly to reduce the deficit to 4 with 17 minutes still to play. Mike Devitt scored to ease any worries that Wellspring had, and though Callum Donnelly got his second 10 minutes from time, further goals from Devitt, Berrisford, and two late goals from Nathan Wilkinson secured the win for Wellspring, who go three points clear in second place.
