Recap
Under Rated looked to maintain their 100% record this week against an AOTS team who’ve probably not produced the results we expected of them this season as we would have been expecting this to be a promotion battle at the start of the season.
As it was AOTS had lost more than they’d won going into this weeks game, and it looked like being another in the ‘L’ column when Steven Batho scored two in a minute to put Under Rated two up inside the opening 10 minutes. AOTS hit back through two Eoghan Scott goals in the space of 5 minutes, but Batho got his third to quickly get Under Rated back in front. Just as quickly AOTS drew level again as Charlie Hutchinson scored their third to send a tight game in at half time all square at 3-3.
The second half was even tighter, and it took 11 minutes for AOTS to take the lead for the first time through Ben Jamieson’s finish, and with something to hold onto they set about seeing the game out. Under Rated built up the pressure and created chances, before eventually taking one through Colin Stelfox’s finish 7 minutes from the end to give us a potential big finish. Pretty much straight from kick off AOTS burst through, only for the ball to eventually go into the net off the foot of an Under Rated player. This time they were able to hold on for a win that all of a sudden puts a small amount of doubt as to whether Under Rated will cruise to a title they looked to have won already.
