Recap
These two only faced each other a couple of weeks ago, as Duno started their first full Ballers league campaign with a comfortable 9-2 win against a patched up Inter side. Would things be different this week as the faced a stronger looking Inter side?
It started off that way as Steve Johnson gave Inter an early lead with a goal on three minutes, but Duno took control soon after and after Steven Nevins levelled things up a minute later, two goals from Liam Watson saw Duno go 3-1 up with 12 minutes on the clock. Inter fired back in the final 5 minutes of the half, and two Gaz Sumner goals either side of a Dave Smythe finish saw Inter into the break with an unlikely 4-3 lead.
Duno stepped up the pressure in the second half as they looked to bounce back from last week’s defeat, and they drew level again 7 minutes into the half as Calvin Alexander scored their 4th from the spot. Despite the best efforts of both teams there were no more goals, so Inter pick up a point from a 4-4 draw for the second week in a row in what’s turning out to be a decent looking League One season.
