Recap
Oh boy, this wasn’t a fun week for Wellspring, as despite getting their wish for an early kick off they struggled to field a full team of 6 (they weren’t the only ones this week) as they went up against an AOTS side that had had a decent start to their debut Ballers season.
The newer side took early control with three goals in the opening 7 minutes as Carl Buckley scored two and Adam Duty the other. Wellspring were able to keep things relatively tight for the rest of the half, but three more goals in the final 4 minutes of the half pretty much killed this one off as a contest as AOTS went into the break with a comfortable 6-0 lead.
Adam Atherton made it 7 two minutes into the second period, and despite Kyle Norris pulling one back for Wellspring a minute later it was one way traffic throughout the remainder of the game. Further goals from Scott Robinson, Ben Jamieson, Buckley and another 4 from Duty as Wellspring completely unraveled in the final stages meant that AOTS picked up their most comfortable win so far. They will probably have tougher games this season…..
