Recap
So, as with most Sunday Premiership season’s so far, the title pretty much comes down to a game between Kinky Slipper and Insole. Insole have won the league twice in the last three seasons, with Kinky taking the title in the season inbetween, and it was Kinky who picked up the win in the game between these two sides earlier in the season.
This was a proper game, between two teams who knew they couldn’t afford to give away easy goals as any goal could prove vital, and that explains why we went in at the break with the scoreline still 0-0.
As you’d expect, the second half was more of the same, as things got more and more tense as time went on, both teams knowing that any goal might well be the winner, and we went into the final 10 minutes with the scoreline still 0-0. Finally, 7 minutes from time, James Radcliffe broke the deadlock for Kinky, and now that they had something to hold on they did their level best to kill the game off. There was no way back for Insole, and Kinky held on for the narrowest of wins, a win that puts them in the driving seat to reclaim the Sunday Premiership crown.
