Recap
With the end of the Monday league season in sight, this game could have been considered key in the fight for promotion. A win for Not A Chance would have seen them have a solid grip on second place, whilst Let’s Try Again needed the points to stay in touching distance of second spot.
Callum Wild opened the scoring early for Not A Chance, but the lead was surrendered quickly by an equaliser by Ryan Prestwich. Not A Chance managed to get back in front with a goal from Josh, but once again they couldn’t keep Jay Willingham’s 12th minute effort out. Goals from Aaron Collins and Phil Carroll saw the sides go into the break level.
The second half began like the first with opening goals exchanged – Conor Dolan’s 28th minute goal quickly cancelled out by Chris Priestly. Let’s Try Again managed to get their noses in front with second goals of the evening from both Jay Willingham and Conor Dolan. Callum Wild bagged his second of the night, but it was too late for Not A Chance as Jay Willingham grabbed his third goal of the night to end with a 7-5 win for Let’s Try again.
