Recap
Duno stepped straight into the top flight of the Monday league off the back of some decent performances in friendlies in the run up to the start of the season. Having picked up a draw in a friendly with Milmanchester they faced another tough task against last season’s runners up Old Reddish FC.
The new boys hit the front in the first minute as Jack Cope scored, but that lead lasted just three minutes as debutant Lee Morgan drew Reddish level in the 4th minute. The scoreline remained the same for the next 10 minutes before Ben Wild put Reddish in front on 14 minutes. He added his second 4 minutes from the break and Anthony Pugh made it 4-1 on the stroke of half time.
Morgan and Pugh both grabbed goals in the opening three minutes of the second half to kill the game off as a contest, before goals from Kyle Mulliner and another couple for Morgan finished the scoring off in a tough night for the new boys. They did show enough in stages to suggest they will give teams a game in this division as the season goes on.
