Pathetico Madrid (Mon) v Team Randomer

Recap

The Team Randommer adventures continue, as week by week we get closer and closer to putting together a fairly solid looking squad. Pathetico had already dirtied their new shirts in their first game against Let’s Try Again, and were playing catch up for week’s missed by playing this as their second game of the night.

Randommer debutant Chris Murray gave them the lead on 4 minutes, before Tom Samari made the most of a sluggish start from Pathetico to make it 2-0 two minutes later. James Littlewood pulled one back for Pathetico on 10 minutes, before two goals in a minute from Pete Jones turned things in their favour with 11 minutes still to play in the half. Murray got his second to level things up again, but Pathetico lead at the break through an own goal three minutes before the whistle.

The topsy turvy nature of the game continued into the second half as Matty Aked drew the Randommers level two minutes in, and Wayne Reeves put them in front again a minute later. Littlewood’s second made it all square again 19 minutes from time, before Jones completed his hat trick to shift things back in Pathetico’s favour again. Back came the Randommers, and three goals in 5 minutes from Samari, Murray and Reeves saw them go two goals up with 6 minutes left, but they weren’t able to see it through as goals from Nathan Thomson and Joe Bates in the final couple of minutes saw this breathless game end with a point apiece.
