We welcomed the Bucket Boys back to the Sunday league as they attempt to reignite the form that saw them climb to the Championship on their last spell with us. That season didn’t go well…… This they faced an old foe in a Pathetico Madrid team missing several regulars, but bringing some familiar faces in to replace them.

Norton’s Adam and James both scored in the opening 10 minutes to get Pathetico off to a good start, and an otherwise tight first half just saw another goal from Adam three minutes before the break to see Pathetico lead 3-0 at the interval.

Danny Norton scored an absolute worldy (he says) three minutes after the break, and Pathetico were home and hosed on opening night. Ashley Ellis-Quirke pulled one back for Stront Bakken 9 minutes from time, but it was too little, too late, and Pathetico get thre points on the board early doors.
