Recap
For the second week in a row, Phantom Brazilians took on Old Reddish FC as a late fixture switch threw these two together again. Reddish have a firm grip on top spot as they look to claim their first Monday Premiership title, but Phantom ran them close last week.
The leaders hit the front early as Wild’s Dan and Ben scored in the opening 6 minutes. Alex Brady pulled one back for Phantom a minute later, but it was 3-1 before we’d reached the 10 minute mark as Ben Wild got his second. Debutant Rhys Jones got his first Ballers goal for Reddish on 12 minutes, and Ben Wild completed a first half hat trick 5 minutes before the break, but Brady’s second of the half made it a three goal game at the interval.
Jones and Ben Wild both scored in the first 4 minutes of the second half to end the game as a contest, and though Matt Barton pulled one back for Phantom with 17 minutes still to play, Jones made it a debut hat trick to complete the scoring and keep Old Reddish on course for the title.
