Not too much previous form to go off going into the game with only one game played in the Wednesday league so far.

Shaka FC opened the scoring early doors as Phil Carroll netted in the second minute. Nicula Alexandru equalised 8 minutes later for Magpie FC, before two goals in quick succession for each team meant the scores were level going into the half time break. Alexandru with his second for Magpie, Aziz Ibosimi with the goal for Shaka.

The game was anyones at half time, but it was Magpie FC who got off to the better start in the second half. Their 3 second half goals come within 3 minutes of each other as Bartosz Szmidt and another two from Alexandru put Magpie FC 3 goals ahead. Jonny McAuley and Ibosimi pulled two goals back to Shaka, but it was too little too late as Magpie took the points.
